Little Rams Preschool Graduation is Thursday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the Throop Gym
Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
Parking is available in front of Throop and the gym parking lot.
There will be a welcome table outside the gym where Throop staff can call down kindergarten through sixth-grade students attending the graduation.

Reminder, All Summer School forms must be turned in by Friday, May 5th.
Summer School Swimming:
If you completed a swim survey for your child, you must also complete a purple summer school form to sign your child up for swimming. There is a $75.00 fee to hold a spot for your child. The money must be turned in no later than Friday, May 5. The classes are capped at 72 students for swimming classes. The first 72 students that pay will have a reserved spot pending your child does not have to attend summer school for both Math and ELA. Make checks payable to: Paoli Community School Corp. Running Start Applications are due Monday, May 1 for any PreK-6 student interested in participating in Running Start. If you have questions or need an application, contact Holly Vincent at vincenth@paoli.k12.in.us
Throop students interested in summer swimming lessons must submit the form by Friday, April 21. Swimming forms after April 21 will not be accepted. Thank you
Good evening, The students in grades 3 - 5 will begin ILEARN testing this week. Sixth grade will start the week of April 24th. The testing window for Throop is through May 12th. Students in grades 3 -6 must be PRESENT and ON TIME each school day. Please do not schedule outside appointments that remove students from the classroom. Thank you for your assistance --
IREAD3 Test Results are coming home today. If your third-grader passed IREAD3 in second grade, he/she will not have test results. Please direct questions to Dr. Carr at carrs@paoli.k12.in.us
In the event of school cancellations due to inclement weather or some other emergency, those school days will be made up as follows:
Day 1 - traditional snow day, made up on February 20, 2023

Good Evening Throop Families,
Tomorrow, Monday, October 31, the students are allowed to wear costumes except for masks, facepaint, and weapons.
Fall parties will start at 2:15 p.m. ALL volunteers must have a background check to participate in the Fall Party. If you received a background check card, bring it with you. Throop Staff will be in the foyer checking for background checks.
The parties are for Throop students only, so please refrain from bringing younger children. After the party, you can take your student home. The teacher will have a sign-out sheet in the classroom.

Greeting Ram Families, this is a friendly reminder that tomorrow Wednesday, October 5th will be an early release day for Paoli Community Schools. Students will be released at 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 6th is Service day for the Jr. High and High School students. Permission slips are due tomorrow, Wednesday.
Friday, October 7th is the start of Fall Break, no school for students. Classes will resume Monday, October 17th.

Community Eligibility Provision Notification
We are pleased to inform you that Paoli Community School Corporation will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for meals served on the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2022-2023 school year.
All students enrolled at Paoli Community School Corporation are eligible to receive a reimbursable breakfast and lunch at school at no charge each day of the 2022-2023 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application. Please note that there will be a charge for extra milk and a la carte items.
If you need assistance with Curricular Materials, please fill out a Curricular Materials Application Form. Applications are available in the High School and Elementary office.

There are a couple of announcements before we start school today. First, Throop Elementary is a peanut-free campus. The mandate is necessary to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff. Thank you for understanding and complying with this vital issue.
The second announcement is that adults of kindergarten and first-grade students can walk the child to the classroom door. Please do not enter the classroom or visit other classrooms. Thank you for helping make our first morning operate smoothly and safely.
The staff and I look forward to seeing our little RAMS.

There will be no weekly early dismissals on Wednesday's this school year. We have applied to the DOE to have half day early releases for professional development on the first Wednesday of each month starting in September. We will know if we are approved when the State Board of Education meets in August. We will share more information at that time.
